Intensive English Programme Details
The AEPP is a comprehensive intensive English programme for students who are new to English entering Grade 6, 7 or 8 in OWIS. The programme spans six months, with the possibility of
extension to a maximum of 12 months if needed. We offer biannual intakes in August and January, with
specific enrolment deadlines for each period.

Entry and Exit Criteria
Entry Criteria: To be eligible for the AEPP, prospective students must demonstrate a need for intensive English language support. This is typically indicated by a PTE (Progress Test in English) score of 2 or below. The assessment will be conducted under the student’s GL assessment. In addition to the PTE score, we also consider the student's academic history and completion of previous grade levels to ensure they are placed in the most suitable learning environment.
Exit Criteria: Students can transition out of the AEPP and into the mainstream curriculum once they have achieved a PTE score of 3 or higher. This score signifies that they have acquired the necessary English language proficiency to engage effectively with the academic rigour of the mainstream classes.
